Position Highlights:
Are you committed to achieving monthly goals, driving revenue, providing excellent customer service and developing long term relationships with business owners?


This position is responsible for developing new business and growing existing business through outside and inside sales calls by using a variety of sales programs and the portfolio of Utah Media Group products.


Heavy focus on this position is in the retail sales world, providing advertising solutions and opportunities for local businesses that will achieve the highest return on their investment with advertising efforts.

Duties:

  • Excellent sales skills to identify the business needs of customers, specifically the ability to assess sales opportunities, articulate business value, develop and execute a territory and account management plan, to develop and deliver creative solutions to meet customer needs, prospect for new business, and negotiate and up-sell existing clients.
  • Lead generation ability – establishing a routine of combined cold calls, follow up on warm calls and continue to generate new leads through existing client base and networking efforts.
  • Must have a proven track record in an outside sales territory position with defined growth and stability in client account management.
  • Must be able to establish a secure and trusting relationship with existing client base and establish this same level of trust with new clients.
  • Must be familiar with reporting efforts on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of entire sales cycle / process.
  • Must be able to perform a needs analysis for clients with an understanding of budget needs and abilities.
  • Must be able to relate to client business and provide real life factual data that is relevant to their business needs and potential advertising investment return.
  • Must be familiar with the retail world, with hands on experience in B2B sales and partnerships

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions related to achieving revenue goals. 
  • Interpersonal skills to develop relationships with customers, other sales staff, peers, marketing, and management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral. 
  • Strong presentation skills using PowerPoint, and ImMediate software.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, Internet and database applications.
  • Ability to identify and manage high payoff activities in the sales process in order to continually improve results.
  • Ability to penetrate new accounts to grow existing customer base.
  • Ability to work as a team with other MediaOne staff.
  • Ability to present a coherent solution to the client.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
