Purpose:

Position will help with selling, producing and managing events, consumer and business to business. This position requires developing relationships with vendors and sponsors for all events. The main role of account sales representative is to sell new or existing accounts and provide client satisfaction by optimizing revenue and encouraging account growth. Event Sales Representative speak with clients regularly, providing them product updates, marketing ideas, technical support and other account-related reports. Responsible for list building, conducting pitch calls, coordinating mailings, and other coordination or project-related activities. This position requires working on several events at the same time and must be able to jump from one event to the next without a problem. Multitasking is a must. Ability to think forward is crucial.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the event department in achieving overall goals and providing onsite support during events
  • Making calls to perspective and potential clients. Minimum of 40-50 calls daily.
  • Event set-up and cleanup
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
  • Managing event(s) sponsors, including billing, sponsorship facilitation, sponsorship activation
  • Send post event sponsor thank you packets
  • Help recruit new vendors for consumer events
  • Attend event meetings with clients when needed
  • Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships
  • Attend external events
  • Research appropriate media information to include in sales presentations by gathering statistics on market share, demographics, and advertising effectiveness
  • Initiate and take primary responsibility for resolving client related problems that may occur with the client
  • Ensure that UMG policies are upheld by managing client expectations and working with the client to adhere to UMG policies, e.g., credit, billing, contracts, etc.
  • Maintain and service new clients with exceptional customer service by building relationships, anticipating needs, and reinforcing the value that UMG delivers to the client
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by collaborating with event team and other UMG departments to obtain information and documentation required to fill the client's needs
  • Work with client to ensure that contracts are signed and completed within appropriate time
  • Gather customer feedback and information to facilitate discussions and development of new products and new selling opportunities
  • Build effective communication channels proactively within the event department and other departments by establishing relationships with sales assistants, peers, and colleagues
  • Track projects and assignments in project management software
  • Facilitate a feedback loop with customers by soliciting and documenting comments
  • Pass information on the managers and colleagues about ideas for improvement
  • Communicate account problems and potential revenue shortfalls to managers immediately to ensure the proper assistance and coaching to solve problems
